TSE Spring/Summer 2016

April 05, 2016

For TSE’s Spring 2016 collection, the TSE design team drew inspiration from the island of Jamaica, specifically through Beth Lesser’s The Rise of Jamaican Dancehall Culture and Patrick Cariou’s Yes Rasta. Captivated by the energy of local dance halls, the spirit in the streets and the cool effortless style of the Jamaican people, TSE captures the true essence of island life in this break-out collection.

Remaining authentic to the brand’s signature elements – high quality fabrics, detailed stitching and organic sustainability, the collection features new silhouettes, textures and patterns. Geometric embellished t-shirts, body suits and woven knits capture the playful sophistication of the Jamaican culture. The fresh, watercolor palate of the collection is filled with soft pink, seaglass green and bay blue. Classic white, black and cream pieces remain at the core of the collection while pops of color and texture illustrate creativity and self-expression.

Like in past collections, cinched waists and fitted styles are juxtaposed with oversized fine cashmere knits and cardigans. Stretch bodysuits and fitted t-shirts transition seamlessly into wide-leg pant styles and colorful trousers and classic necklines are paired beautifully with asymmetrical hems and shirt pockets. From the oversized ‘dancehall’ printed cotton voile kimono to the crisp box jacket, the collection is as versatile as it is sophisticated.
TSE’s commitment to sustainable, environmentally friendly fabrics also continues this season with the presence of an organic cotton and linen capsule. TSE prides itself on offering a selection of cashmere that is created through a certified organic process – without the use of harsh chemical treatments.
