Spring/Summer 2016 sees the unveiling of Claudia’s Schiffer’s second exclusive collection of knitwear and cashmere pieces for luxury ready-to-wear brand; Claudia Schiffer for TSE.
Following the successful launch of the fashion icon’s debut AW15 knitwear collection, the second collaboration comprises of sixteen pieces featuring lightweight hand-embroidered dresses, peasant style cashmere blouses, kaftan throws and elegant crochet tops.
Claudia’s second collection features a variety of bold colour pops and neutral shades, which highlight the luxurious and intricate knitwear detail; each piece is perfect to complete your capsule summer wardrobe.
Explaining the inspiration behind the collection, Claudia Schiffer commented, “I was inspired by the nostalgia of my childhood holidays in Mallorca, especially enjoying the stunning red orange sunsets and swimming in the clear blue sea. These bright shades of red, orange and blue set this season’s colour palette, paired with a back drop of neutral sandy ecrus and whites.”
“The silhouettes are reminiscent of those worn by Bardot in the legendary images of her in the 1970’s peasant tops and effortless pieces that work beautifully with denim for a timeless look. There are also crochet dresses and tunics that can be worn with bare legs, or over a bikini.”
Key specialist techniques include hand embellished detailing, hand crochet trimming, smocking detail and tassel finishes to create a bespoke, wearable collection for the ultimate summer wardrobe.
“It’s important that the collection feels luxurious and rich so I have used a combination of fine cashmere, cashmere/cotton and crisp 100% cotton.”
